Prime Minister to visit Devonport Naval Base

Thursday 10th February, 2005

The Chief of Navy, Rear Admiral David Ledson, will host a visit by the Prime Minister, the Right Honourable Helen Clark, to the Naval Support Command between 1415 and 1640 on Friday 11 February 2005. This is the first visit that the Prime Minister has made to the Naval Support Command.

Invitation to the Media

Media are invited to cover the following activities:

  • 1600 Walk from the wharf area of the Naval Base via Promenade and Memorial Wall to the Naval Museum, Spring St, Devonport
  • 1620 Arrive Naval Museum
  • 1640 Uplift Chief of Navy and Prime Minister from Navy Museum
