Operation Pukaurua Draws To A Close

Operation Pukuarua draws to a close this week, with the NZDF, Australian, Canadian and US Defence Forces having already cleared over 2000 items of unexploded World War Two ordinance in the Solomon Island’s Town of Munda.  The local population have been extremely helpful in identifying the locations of ordinance, and this morning one of the NZDF teams were led deep into the jungle to this unexploded shell.
