Variety Bash 2009
Saturday 28 March is a day to set the alarm early. Over 40 Variety Bash vehicles including a dozen quirky fire engines and a bubble blowing car will descend on Devonport on Saturday 28 March - all in the aid of charity.
Local residents are advised to get up early to avoid missing this spectacular convoy driving down Victoria Road between 7.30-8.30am on Saturday morning en route to the Devonport Naval Base. Arriving at the Devonport Naval Base by 9.00am, the entire Variety Bash will then board HMNZS Canterbury and travel across the Waitemata harbour at 11.30am.
After transporting over 40 Variety Bash vehicles across the Waitemata harbour HMNZS CANTERBURY will berth at Princes Wharf to hold a public open day from 2.00 to 4.00pm on Saturday 28 March. The Navy Band will be playing dixie style music to entertain the crowd during the open day.

Variety, the Children’s Charity, invites you, your friends and family, to join us in this unique opportunity to take a look inside the Royal New Zealand Navy’s HMNZS Canterbury. Close to 40 Bash vehicles, 165 Bashers and celebrities such as Ronald McDonald, Elmo, Bryan & Bobby will be on hand as they rattle the buckets for Variety, the Children’s Charity!!

Variety, the Children’s Charity, invites you, your friends and family to attend the official 2009 Variety Bash launch which is guaranteed to be quite a spectacle. This year’s launch will involve close to 40 Bash vehicles exiting the HMNZS Canterbury on to Princes Wharf outside the Hilton Hotel. This is great opportunity for everyone to see the fun and quirky nature of our Bash vehicles up close and personal!!
