The Chapel of St. Peter (Roman Catholic)
The Most Reverend James M. Liston D.D., Bishop of Auckland, dedicated the Chapel of St Peter 26th April 1964. It was presented by the Apostleship of the Sea.
St Peter's Chapel is situated 50m from the HMNZS PHILOMEL Main Gate, next to the Command Library and the Chaplaincy Centre.
Note: Should personnel require the services of a Roman Catholic priest, The Chaplaincy Centre is happy to put you in contact with a priest in the local community who will be happy to officiate at the Naval Base.
