AMUS Tim Christie
Tim was born in 1982, and joined the Band on 17 March 2004. His tertiary qualifications are a B.Mus. in performance, and a Dip. Jazz in arranging and composing.
Tim's instruments are Saxophone and Piano. His primary instrument in the Navy Band is the Baritone Sax, which he plays in the Concert and Big Bands. After starting out on clarinet when he was twelve, he has been playing sax for nine years. He also doubles on Tenor Sax, Alto Sax and Flute.
Along with playing in the various ensembles, his duties include being on the Driver roster, being editor for all Band related publications, and also doing a lot of arranging, particularly for the Big Band.
