Kelly Kahukiwa was born on May 6, 1974. He is currently studying for a Bachelor of Music through the Navy. In April 1997 he joined the band as a saxophonist and vocalist.
Originally from Rotorua (Koutu), Kelly moved to Christchurch when he was four. Living in Parklands he went to Mairehau High school. He has one son, Leo.
Music has taken Kelly all over the world - South Korea, Brazil, Australia and Vanuatu.
Outside the band he plays sax and sings with local bands "Tangent" and "One Million Dollars". He also jams with DJ’s up at the Khuja Lounge. He has played sax in numerous other bands such as "Ardijah", "Feijoa Jam” and with artists including Max Stowers, Dixon Nacey and Pat Khutze. Kelly is also a member of the “Sugarlicks Crew”.
