Branch Training

Navy training encompasses numerous disciplines, from the Ratings Initial Training Squadron, Junior Officer Common Training and Sea Safety Training Squadron, to specialised training for Operational, Technical and Trade, and Support Logistics branches. 

Training within the RNZN is of a very high standard. It is continuously reviewed to meet and exceed NZQA unit standards. Some RNZN schools lead the country, setting New Zealand-wide standards and achievements for their specialisations.
