RHIB

A Rigid Hulled Inflatable Boat (RHIB) approaching the frigate

The ship's Rigid Hull Inflatable Boats (RHIB) are used for boarding parties, transferring stores and personnel at sea, border patrols, and for taking personnel to and from shore when the ship is anchored.

Each ANZAC frigate has two RHIBS, which are stored on 01 deck.  As required, the 7.74m long RHIBs are lowered into the water by a crane; most frequently this occurs at sea while the ship continues through the water.
