Sep 05 - Change of Command
On Thursday 15 September 2005, Commander Wilson Trumper assumed command of HMNZS TE MANA, taking over from Commander Lance Cook.
Commander Trumper has just completed a six-month tour of Duty as the Chief of Staff at the NZDF National Planning Element at US Central Command in Tampa, USA.
The Change of Command Ceremony is traditionally formal and impressive - designed to strengthen that respect for authority, which is vital to any military organisation. Chief of Navy, Rear Admiral David Ledson, reviewed the ceremony.
