TE MANA returned from deployment on 22 July 2005.

Greeted by family and friends on the wharf, she berthed at 10:00am.

TE MANA was accompanied by tanker HMNZS ENDEAVOUR throughout the 4 1/2 month deployment. The ships represented New Zealand in a variety of countries. Ports of call included their attendance at the Aichi World Expo, Japan, and an historic first visit by Royal New Zealand Naval ships to Vladivostock, Russia.

Maritime Component Commander, Commodore Jack Steer, said: 'The 178 personnel of TE MANA displayed versatility in their role working with allied navies in combined exercises, and with foreign governments on diplomatic visits. They have positively contributed to the profile of New Zealand and our Defence Force overseas during their deployment.'
